Cooking up Connections is a post that introduces the foundation and reasoning behind the inspiration of Save the Dough. It shows my passion for family, cooking and tradition. Making an economical meal with my mother is a common occurrence and made the perfect feel-good post for the week that anyone can relate to. My strategy for posting on Twitter is to use relevant hashtags. For Instagram, I try to be more personal and let the picture speak for itself but with an encouraging, call-to-action caption.

This post demonstrates Save the Dough's drive and dedication to find a healthier alternative to common recipes. This was right before Thanksgiving, a very pie-filled holiday. I write with trends and what's actually going on in the world. Again, you can see that my high-quality images are visually appealing for the audience. Creative captions on Instagram are also popular for the blog.

This post fits in with my blog because it demonstrates my ability to make a cheap meal under $1 that is healthy and filled with health benefits. The post demonstrates my ability to relate recipes retrospectively to times in my life. My writing style for this blog is quirky and fun yet professional. I took advantage of Twitter's trending hashtags and strategized with high-quality images for Instagram's visual appeal.

Editorial Calendar

Editorial calendars are one of the key ingredients to a successful content strategy. Planning and executing this editorial calendar for Save the Dough is important in the timeliness of the blog. I was able to plan posts weeks at a time while keeping track of ideas and timely events. I am skilled at keeping and instituting editorial calendars for work in social media.

Analytics

Since Save the Dough is still a new site and I made a recent comeback to Twitter, my analytics are not the best. However, I am skilled at assessing analytics to determine best times to post, which topics are successful, and what formats work best for my followers. I am proficient in understanding Twitter analytics as well as Facebook Insights and other tools.
